i find authenticity so freeing for this very reason. you don’t have to worry about people thinking you are false, or even of misunderstanding you - as long as you are true to yourself, does it matter if people can’t figure out the entire picture just yet? this was good to reflect on!

Amen!! It’s really hard to mistake true authenticity and kindness for anything but - and if someone does, then they’re certainly someone not worth knowing

" Or mysterious and quiet—though I didn’t really pack an outfit for that." This is the best! I like how you didn't explain further. Great moment in this post.

How about you wear a shirt with a tastefully hidden QR code to your Substack?

Hahah if you must know, I was picturing a vaguely emo image - which is not at all me but how would anyone know? 🤣 I’m glad you enjoyed!

And I love the QR code idea! I keep meaning to print off a bunch and just leave them in public places 😆

Well, if you ever did it they'd be in for a treat :)

Just what I needed to read this morning as I sit in on some college classes (first time doing in person classes 😂😶)

To be honest, I started going to college at 15, and it was intimidating at first but very quickly grew to be a place I loved. I get so nostalgic for it now. I’ve even gone back with my sister just to sit on campus while she’s in class! Those college campuses can be so beautiful, and perfect places to write 🥹

💖💖 I'm looking forward to it as I did college the first time during COVID and everything was online -_- but now going back and being on campus..... it will be a change but a good one I think :)
